Financial Collaboration Built for Real Growth

We're working with organisations across Australia who understand that business creativity needs solid financial foundations. Our partnerships focus on meaningful skill development rather than quick fixes.

Our Approach

Building Partnerships That Actually Work

We've spent years figuring out what makes financial education stick. Turns out, it's not about throwing theory at people and hoping something lands. Our partnership model connects directly with how creative businesses actually operate — messy, unpredictable, and definitely not following textbook patterns.

Iterative Development

We adjust content based on what your team needs right now, not what some curriculum guide says should come next.

Context-Driven Sessions

Every workshop pulls from real scenarios your industry faces — we skip the generic case studies that don't quite fit.

Progressive Complexity

Start with foundations that make sense, then build toward sophisticated financial thinking without overwhelming anyone.

Ongoing Access

Questions come up weeks after sessions end. Partners get continued support as concepts get applied in practice.

Learning From Someone Who's Been There

Rowena Kelsch runs our partnership programmes, and she brings fifteen years of working with businesses that don't fit neat financial categories. Before teaching, she spent time as a CFO for three different creative agencies — which means she's seen every version of "our cash flow doesn't follow normal patterns."

Her teaching style comes from that background. Less lecturing about theory, more showing how financial principles actually get applied when your revenue model changes quarterly and your biggest asset walks out the door every evening.

  • Designed financial systems for eight creative agencies between 2010-2018

  • Created curriculum that bridges accounting principles with project-based business models

  • Works primarily with teams of 5-30 people navigating growth phase challenges

How Partnerships Develop Over Time

Financial education isn't a one-off workshop situation. Here's what happened with one of our longer partnerships — a design consultancy in Melbourne that started working with us in early 2023.

March 2023 - August 2023

Getting the Basics Sorted

Started with fundamentals because their team admitted nobody really understood their own P&L statements. We spent six months on cash flow management, invoice timing, and setting up systems that matched how they actually worked. Nothing fancy, just getting basic financial literacy in place.

Building Strategic Capacity

Once everyone could read financial statements without glazing over, we moved into scenario planning and project profitability analysis. They were bidding on bigger contracts and needed to understand what growth actually costs. This phase involved more complex modelling and some honest conversations about which clients were worth keeping.

Ongoing Strategic Partnership

Now we work with them quarterly on specific challenges as they come up. Last session was about evaluating whether to hire three new designers or outsource to contractors. The difference from 2023 is that they're asking sophisticated questions and can work through most financial decisions themselves. We're more like specialist consultants at this point rather than teachers.

Workshop Format

Sessions run 2-3 hours with breaks, mixing presentation with actual work on your business numbers. We're not fans of all-day marathons where everyone stops absorbing information after lunch.

Custom Resources

Every partnership gets tailored materials that reference your actual business model. Generic templates don't help much when you're trying to apply concepts three weeks later.

Start Exploring Partnership Options

We're scheduling initial consultations for partnerships starting September 2025 onwards. First conversation is about understanding what you're trying to achieve and whether our approach fits your situation.
