Finance Strategies That Actually Work for Creative Businesses

Most finance courses ignore the messy reality of creative work. We built ours differently. Our autumn 2025 cohort focuses on real scenarios from freelance illustrators, design studios, and content creators who need numbers that make sense.

Three Ways to Join

We're not pretending everyone needs the same thing. Pick what fits your situation right now.

1

Self-Paced Foundations

Six modules you can work through between client projects. Budget templates, cash flow tracking, and invoice systems that don't require an accounting degree. Access for twelve months starting September 2025.

2

Cohort Experience

Eight weeks with other creatives facing similar challenges. Live sessions on Wednesdays, group problem-solving, and direct access to mentors who've actually run creative businesses. October 2025 start.

3

Studio Partnership

For teams of three or more. We adapt the material to your specific business model and spend time understanding your actual financial bottlenecks. Typically spans three months with ongoing support.

What You'll Actually Learn

Look, nobody wants to spend evenings learning about financial statements. But when you're losing track of project profitability or can't figure out why there's never enough in the bank account, something needs to shift.

  • Building pricing models that reflect your actual costs and time investment
  • Cash flow forecasting that works when client payments are unpredictable
  • Tax planning strategies that reduce year-end panic
  • Project budgeting systems that catch scope creep before it kills margins
  • Financial dashboards you'll actually look at more than once
  • Growth planning without needing venture capital or massive loans

Questions People Actually Ask

Before you email us, here's what everyone wants to know.

Do I need accounting experience?

No. We assume you understand basic addition and that's about it. One participant last year thought depreciation was a type of emotional state. She finished the program and now manages her studio's books confidently.

When does the next cohort start?

October 9, 2025 for the cohort experience. Self-paced access opens September 1, 2025. Studio partnerships can begin whenever works for your team, though we're nearly full through November 2025.

What if I can't make the live sessions?

Everything gets recorded and posted within twelve hours. But honestly, the live conversations are where people get unstuck fastest. We schedule around Australian Eastern time zones specifically for that reason.

Will this help with business growth?

It might. Better financial visibility often reveals opportunities you couldn't see before. But we're not promising hockey-stick growth curves or anything unrealistic. Some participants use what they learn to scale up, others use it to work less while earning similar amounts.

Can I get help after the program ends?

Cohort participants get six months of mentor access through our community platform. Self-paced students can upgrade to that access anytime. We also run quarterly check-ins for alumni who want ongoing support.
